Announcements

  • Hello,

I hope everyone's summer is off to a fantastic start.  I wanted to send a quick update with some reminders that may have gone unnoticed in the excitement of the end of the school year.

First, students in Kindergarten - 12th grade will be provided with school supplies, including a backpack, for the 2021-2022 school year.  Breakfast and lunch will continue to be free for all students in K-12.

Next, Parent University classes are up and running.  Check the event calendar on the district website for details and privacy protected zoom links to attend these classes.

Summer School Camps kicked off last week with TONS of awesome activities and lots of fun.  Students who are going into 1st - 8th grades are welcome to attend.  The 1st/2nd and 3rd/4th grade camps are at the elementary, while the 5th/6th and 7th/8th grade camps are at the high school.  Camps run from 8-12 each day, Monday through Friday, with breakfast and lunch provided at no cost.

Finally, information about mandatory ImPact testing for high school athletes playing any sport this year has been posted to the Athletics section of the website.  Athletes in 7th and 8th grades; 10th and 11th grades; and any students who are new to our district or playing sports for the first time this year must take this concussion baseline test.  Student athletes can choose from July 31st or August 7th to complete the test.  7th and 8th graders will test from 10 - 11 am, 10th and 11th graders will test from 11 am - 12 pm.  New athletes can test during either time slot.

As always, please feel free to contact us with any questions.

    Thanks,

    LeeAnne Jordan
    Superintendent of Schools
